Sara will talk about strategies you can use to get involved in the conversations…that is what social media is all about (the social). Take this opportunity to learn how to use social media to listen, to get feedback, to provide and get information, to provide assistance, or just for fun.

About the Speaker
With over 11 years of experience working in the IT department for Battelle at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Sara Perez possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the information technology field. Originally hired on to join the Lab’s Help Desk to provide telephone computer support she also created an in-house computer training program for the organization. Her career in IT continued to expand to a service manager responsible for expert delivery of collaborative technologies and services such as instant messaging, SharePoint, web conferencing, streaming video, and social media tools such as wikis and blogs. She also works with the Communications teams at the lab to provide strategic direction on leveraging third-party social media tools (i,e., Facebook and Twitter) as new communication channels.
